Aged care is in crisis. While many aged care facilities strive for good practice, others fall short of delivering quality care. The Australian Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety has shone a light on the inadequacies of care in the aged care sector. ‘Technology’ is often proposed to address inadequacies in care. This techno-solutionism generally ignores the views and experiences of the users themselves.
Hosted by the Monash Data Futures Institute, this webinar will explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies may be ‘co-designed’ – that is developed in collaboration with stakeholders – to ensure that its users (e.g. from residents and their families to staff members) derive better quality of care and do not suffer harms, and that AI technologies are trusted by and meet the consent of the general community
